Description:
The Opera House is located at 539 Washington Street, in the heart of Boston's theatre district. Originally opened in 1928, the venue has been host to a wide range of entertainment: from vaudeville to movies. Recent renovation and restoration have revitalized the venue and have restored the Opera House's place in the culture of Boston. Today the Opera House hosts hit Broadway musicals, popular and alternative musical concerts, along with the occasional Opera. It is also the home of the Boston Ballet’s annual and beloved performance of the Nutcracker.
